Bootstrapped and profitable, they are scaling up their cloud operations and are looking for someone to join them as a Cloud Architect as the team grows.

What to expect:

You will be joining as the first Cloud Architect in the company, and you will be joining a company with a strong DevOps culture and multi-account setup. The engineers are responsible for their own end-to-end testing and there is a dedicated DevOps Team in place to support them and enable them to work autonomously and maintain their own AWS accounts. You’ll initially report directly to the CTO and can expect a lot of freedom and trust from day 1. You can expect to work with AWS, Terraform and Kubernetes, and communicating with various stakeholders will be a key part of your role. You’ll be working closely with the data unit on the data infrastructure and will act as a bridge between DevOps/ Infrastructure and Data Engineering.

Requirements:

  • You have 4+ years of experience working with AWS
  • You have spent time working as a Software Engineer
  • You have strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • You have solid knowledge of network security, security groups, VPSs, subnets and flow log monitoring
  • You have experience implementing different architectures (Lambda, Streaming, Batch, Serverless, Scale out)
  • You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • You can work well in collaborative environments and can interact with Software Engineers, QA and Data Teams to ensure designs and requirements are understood
