Europe’s fastest growing scale up (Series B: over 200 million) is looking for a Data Architect to join their ranks and help establish and grow their data infrastructure as the company continues its rapid expansion. This company have developed a product which beats the competition with up to date logistics technology ensuring customers get their grocery shopping delivered in next to no time at all, faster than you could run to the shops. Their industry defining product is currently operating in Germany and the Netherlands with plans for further expansion into the rest of Europe, UK and the US later this year.

What to expect:

You will be joining this company as the first Data Architect. So far, the highly complex and data-intensive infra has been looked after by the Platform team and built on GCP.  You will be assuming responsibility for this, focusing on re-designing and extending (either a new, greenfield solution, or extending the Google version). They are looking for a self starter with a practical mindset who can shape the data structure and define the technological choices, along with building a team.   • Experience designing and implementing an enterprise data warehouse solutions on the cloud (ideally GCP, Snowflake - AWS also works)
  • Knowledge around developing ETL processing pipelines for batch and near-real-time data as well as machine learning workflows, along with schedulers like Airflow
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts.
  • Extensive programming knowledge - Python, Java, Golang
  • Google Analytics (BigQuery), Google AdWords, Adjust, Postgres, MySQL amongst others.
