To join this team, we’re looking for a Data Engineer that is as talented as they are passionate about reducing human and animal impact on the environment.

What to expect:

The data team is at the core of this company company and are a key component in the company’s strategic development. You can expect to use an eclectic mix of technologies and languages, spanning Microsoft .Net, Python, Java, React, Angular and a host of open source platforms. However, you will also have a say in setting the direction of evolving the current technology stack.

In a nutshell, you will be supporting the SWE and DS team on various data initiatives by furthering the development of the data infrastructure and facilitating the continued development of the ML platform and related models. This involves dealing with large datasets and making them clean, accessible and scaleable.

  • Proficiency in C# and Python
  • In depth knowledge of big data streaming patterns and technologies such as Kafka, EventHub, NiFi etc.
  • Good understanding of relational databases (SQL), and unstructured / NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, InfluxDB, etc.).
  • Knowledge around monitoring technologies such as Grafana or Prometheus
  • Functional knowledge of a cloud computing platform (preferably Microsoft Azure)
