OQ is working closely with an organisation who are transforming the e-commerce travel and leisure industry. They are actively revolutionising the vast world of high-volume, real-time online auction platforms; by offering a combination of 5 e-commerce websites that are household names in the Netherlands.

What to expect:

You would be working within the IT department that consists of roughly 60 talented engineers.

Your main responsibilities will be working on, on-prem and cloud based infrastructure while utilising DevOps tooling. Additionally; you would be working on moving all their infrastructure on AWS while recreating the infra on Docker and Kubernetes. At-present, there is roughly 50% of their applications remaining on-prem with one of them being a monolith application.Their plan is to rapidly rehost the remaining application onto their AWS environment.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge with *nix OSes.
  • Experience managing on-prem hardware.
  • Concrete understanding of K8's or other orchestration tools.
  • Ability to understand the fundamentals of setting up networks, gateways and configuring firewalls
  • Their tech stack includes: AWS, Terraform, EKS, Lamda, Jenkins, Python, Jenkins etc.
