To join this team, we’re looking for a GIS Data Engineer that is as talented as they are passionate about reducing human impact on the environment.

What to expect:

In this role, you’ll be able to own your own projects and also foster a collaborative team environment where ideas and shared and succinctly executed. You’ll comfortably be able to communicate with your clients/users, managing expectations and explaining technical progress. Your day-t0-day will involve exploring imagery sets and prepping data for training and validating models, owning a vital part of the ML pipeline. You use your passion for preserving the environment to drive you in your work and always look for the simplest, cleanest solutions to a problem. You will be embedded in the data science team with the best in the AI and MLOps game. You will help them in the continued development of their infrastructure, as well as support their AI-technology stack. For this will need to have a huge passion for Data and an in-depth understanding of geospatial data.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years working as a data engineer, using geospatial data primarily
  • Advanced Python programming experience
  • GIS data pipeline tools like dask, xarray, geopandas
  • A plus if you have experience building ETL pipelines to ingest satellite data or imagery
  • Passionate about sustainability and the ways we can use tech to solve real work environmental problems
  • A plus if you have used some deep learning frameworks, or tools like MLFlow/Kubeflow/Dask
