We are working with a Japanese-founded business who have offices here in Barcelona. With a current headcount of 75 people, their Engineering department is split into 7 teams that consist of QA, Backend, Embedded, AI & Research, and Product. In recent years they were acquired by Sony and are currently on a mission to help them become the leader in next-generation AI services. Think everything edge computing.

What to expect:

You will join a current team of 6 Backend Engineers split across 3 Product teams. You will work on their STS Cloud product, helping to develop software for hardware that includes IoT devices and cameras. A lot of their work is centralized around computer vision & image capturing, where embedded systems have AI capabilities. Their goal is to reduce latency and eliminate GDPR breaches.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with JVM languages such as Java and Kotlin
  • Exposure to working in a Microservices environment
