This innovative tech company run an online marketplace for classified advertisements. Their disruptive product gives visibility and protection to their users, and they have a strong legal team in place to ensure the safety of their user base. They operate at 90% profit, and with their yearly revenue exceeds €50 million, there is a clear demand for their product.

They are looking for experienced engineers to join the team as they start building a new content-driven product. They currently have 40 remote employees and are building out a tech hub in Barcelona, with an office in the city centre.

What to expect:

This Barcelona-based client are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join them in their Barcelona office and lead their DevOps team. The core team who built the platform were employed as freelancers, and now this company have shifted direction and are building a tech hub in the heart of Barcelona. You’ll report directly to C-level and will have an influential role in the company and the direction they move in. You’ll initially be leading a team of two DevOps Engineers, with the plan to grow the team to 6 people by the end of the year. You will be leading the DevOps Team, will take responsibility for managing the infrastructure. You will be doing lots of automation and will think strategically about how the product can scale. Expect to collaborate with other team members to share knowledge and to implement best practices. They currently run everything on premise, so you will put your Linux experience to work and will be doing plenty of infrastructure engineering.
This role will involve relocation to Barcelona, and you will be provided with relocation support.

  • Good Linux administration skills
  • Strong communication skills 
  • 2+ years of experience in a Lead DevOps role
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience working as part of a remote team
  • Experience of agile methodologies
  • Ansible experience 
  • Docker experience
