Orange Quarter have partnered up with Amsterdam’s newest FinTech startup to hire their new Lead QA Engineer. This company are building a completely new digital bank for SMEs and entrepreneur, with the first MVP launching at the end of Q1 next year. Next year will be a big year for the business as they plan to launch a new banking product each quarter, ultimately developing a data and automation driven bank for smaller enterprises. They’ve built a senior leadership team of FinTech startup veterans from some of Amsterdam’s best known FinTech success stories and you’ll join this team, focussing on QA Engineering and Test Automation.

What to expect:

This is completely greenfield project, the company doesn’t even have a name yet. This means that you’ll get the chance to really build something from the ground up, with full and complete ownership of QA and Testing within the business. This will involve setting up QA practices and procedures, choosing the correct technical tools for the job, design and implementation of the automation suite, educating your colleagues on how to contribute to quality and most likely a lot more.  You’ll be working in a modern environment using a modern tech stack, AWS will be at the core, alongside Python, Golang, React, Typescript and the usual suspects around CI/CD and Devops – what is used for testing will be up to you.

Requirements:

  • Experience developing QA and Test Automation from the ground up, ideally in a start-up
  • An ability to design and implement test automation suites across web and mobile platforms
  • You are not scared of working in a highly regulated environment
  • You can make big decisions around testing and have the soft skills to back them up
