This position is at the European No. 1 business in providing hotel intelligence. They’re a B2B company working with some of the biggest names in the industry. The current company is a bi-product of two start-ups that merged in 2019 to offer a global solution to hospitality and hotel management. They have 12,000 hotels in their portfolio and operate in over 100 countries, having been ranked the number 1 hotel distribution provider in Europe. Their product consists of several core functions that include a central reservation system, data management and visualization, web scraping for competitor analysis, website building, and e-commerce distribution. Each feature that they offer can be sold as an independent module and can also be built on a SaaS basis.
You will be jumping on board a small SCRUM team working on scrapping the web to help their customers get the best possible insight into their competition and create the most appealing offers. The volume they work with is immense and it is, on daily basis, 10 million requests per day, which means the challenge is there. You will be on the core team that makes sure all the resources that the scraping team needs are working properly. You will be working on a microservice architecture deployed on a Cloud. The major part of the codebase is written in .NET.
