Orange Quarter are working with a market leader in fintech in Amsterdam. This young and ambitious company has developed a disruptive platform that empowers personal finance. Their app allows users to synchronise their banking accounts on one platform, providing users with an intelligent analysis of their subscriptions and expenses, and even suggesting areas to save money.

Having received an investment of €2million, they are in a stage of hyper growth and are therefore looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join their office in the center of Amsterdam. Their goal is to expand internationally and grow from 300,000 current users to over a million users in different countries.

What to expect:

You will be joining as a Senior Backend Developer working on their app platform connecting different payments and financial sources via APIs, with a focus on scalability and security (dealing with sensitive data). They are building fault-tolerant systems and have a focus on test-driven design also. The product has a positive financial impact on thousands of people, so your code will have a strong social factor as well.

Joining now would mean working in the tech team that currently consists of 6 people, and working directly with the CTO.

Requirements:

  • Their current tech stack is: PHP, Vue (Nuxt), React Native, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, MySQL.
  • Experience working with an entrepreneurial and startup mindset, willing to take ownership.
  • Strong experience with PHP is necessary, some experience with Frontend tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience programming with security and privacy in mind is a plus.
