We are working with Germany’s first regulated trading platform to hire a Senior Data Engineer/Architect. Their mission is to set high standards in transparency and security as well as offer a reliable framework for trading. They are founded by an established stock exchange in partnership with several German financial powerhouses.

What to expect:

You will be the first specialist hire in Data Engineering. You will be responsible for architecting, designing and implementing a new data platform on AWS. You will need to maintain the small amount of legacy pipelines they currently have while moving things across to the new platform, which will be a long term project. Naturally you will have to work closely with business stakeholders throughout and will gain a lot of exposure in this area, the idea is to build a self service analytics platform. You will get the chance to hire a small team around you, and grow into a Lead role if you desire to.

Requirements:

  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines, ideally in a startup situation
  • The core data stack is AWS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, Spark, Python, SQL
  • An understanding of analytics, reporting and self service analytics
  • You're comfortable working independently and with directly with important business stakeholders
