We’re currently working with a start-up who, in an aim to provide transparency around healthcare pricing and availability, has developed a marketplace that connects patients directly with healthcare providers in the United States. With offices both in New York and Berlin, they launched in 2018 and have further plans to expand their services in more cities.

What to expect:

You’ll be joining a modest team of individuals who punch well above their weight and hugely value collaboration. Expect a fast paced, rapidly moving startup environment. You will be entirely responsible for the development of the data engineering infrastructure which currently is based on an immature Snowflake and SQL setup. Your job will be to take stock of the current situation and work with the relevant stakeholders to develop a shared vision of what is the right data architecture and take this from ideation to implementation. You won’t be alone in this and will work closely with the existing crop of engineers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience setting up data infrastructure (ideally from the ground up)
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced and rapidly moving startup environment
  • Deep technical/computer science skills, think Python, SQL, Java, Scala etc.
  • You're comfortable working across the entire E2E data pipeline, from ingestion to production
  • An ability to communicate with stakeholders from all levels/areas of the business
