Their platform facilitates pet owners to easily book home visits around the clock in an uncomplicated manner, and enables vets to run a mobile business. Their app uses ML prediction models to identify symptoms and  diseases, and their algorithms optimise scheduled and routes for their mobile vet team.

What to expect:

You will be joining this ML company as their first DevOps hire.  They are currently going through a cloud migration from DigitalOcean to AWS need a DevOps Engineer to join and help them optimise their cloud workloads, introduce IaC, ensure they have a robust CI/CD setup, and build a new observability system. You’ll report directly to the Director of Engineering, and will have plenty of autonomy and freedom. This is essentially a greenfields infrastructure, and you will advise the company on DevOps best practices, the tools they adopt, and will shape the future of their cloud environment.

There is plenty scope for career advancement as the company grows, and they increase the headcount of their DevOps Team.

As for the stack, their web applications are written in PHP, and they have some Data Science and ML applications written in Python.

They have a hybrid work environment and the tech team typically works 2 days a week from the office.

Requirements:

  • AWS experience (ideally cloud migration experience)
  • Strong observability experience
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using various CI/CD tools
  • You are a generalist and enjoy working on a broad spectrum of tasks
  • Experience of K8s or working serverless is a big plus
