Orange Quarter is working with an international e-commerce company on the retail, leisure and travel sectors. They have managed to become a giant in the e-commerce scene through their live auction mechanism that provides customers with competitive prices for goods.

What to expect:

The auction website runs on a unified backend, however due to massive scale-up efforts the company is looking into split the backend per domain and rebuild it service by service. They are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to take on scale up challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience building and maintainig PHP/Symfony backends
  • Familiarity with best practices & common design patterns
  • Understanding of RDBMs (PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB) as well as NoSQL databases
  • Experience or eagerness to learn and work with Kafka event bus as well as APIs (REST, RPC, GraphQL).
