We at Orange Quarter are working with a highly impactful and mission-driven start-up that is firmly grounded within the mental health space! They are reinventing the way mental health care is perceived and delivered through a digital platform and in-person experience! The platform is specifically targeted at businesses rather than individuals to prevent anxiety stress and burnouts within the workplace.

They employ councilors and psychotherapists to work directly with different businesses to carry out a variety of different sessions, these can be either one-on-one, group sessions or webinars with the common goal to prevent the amount of time taken off work due to mental health issues.

They are looking for someone that will help develop pragmatic technical solutions in order to build a product that provides professional psychological mental support for their users. You will be involved in designing backend architecture, writing, reviewing and testing code, whilst taking responsibility for backend, infrastructure, and the deployment of the software solutions.

What to expect:

  • Develop pragmatic technical solutions in order to build a product that provides professional psychological mental support for their users
  • Design a backend architecture, write, review and test code, while taking responsibility for backend, infrastructure, and the deployment of the software solutions
  • Develop new features as part of cross-functional initiatives, from discovery to implementation.
  • Make sure the mental health data of their users is stored safely and accessed securely, in compliance with existing regulations
  • Act as a mentor and develop more junior colleagues
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from Engineering, Design, Product Management, and the CTO to define a roadmap, different features, and iteration scope using agile methodologies

Requirements:

  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in the area of Backend Engineering and Databases
  • You have experience working on the JVM Stack (Java, Kotlin) with Spring Boot
  • You have a deep understanding of system architecture and databases
  • You have experience creating and deploying system architectures in cloud platforms and an interest in infrastructure as code
