Orange Quarter is working with a principal trading firm that is a leading global technology-enabled liquidity provider specialised in exchange traded products. They provide liquidity to the major financial markets. Their in-house technology platform enables them to quote prices on many exchanges simultaneously. They also quote bid and ask prices off-exchange to institutional counter-parties on request. Robust risk management is at the core of their business, and their risk functions are closely integrated into their platform.
You will be responsible for the C/D set up of the company. you will closely cooperate with our development team on building the most efficient pipelines for delivery of their software and infrastructure, from an idea to production. You will follow the IAC approach for buildup and maintenance of our setups in the cloud and on-premises. A typical day for a site reliability engineer is a blend of short cycle maintenance and ongoing development and engineering work. It starts with checking the monitoring systems for alerts and deciding what needs immediate attention. From there you will attend a stand-up meeting with your team. This is an opportunity to catch up on the progress of development, raise problems and discuss plans for the rest of the day. Back at your desk, you focus on optimising the continuous delivery infrastructure, by improving the performance, scalability, and efficiency of the setup. It is required to work closely with message broker systems like Kafka and HDFS: implement security, monitoring, and tuning the configuration.
