What to expect:

The ideal candidate should have a solid Linux background with broad systems experience, learn on the fly, diagnose problems and be used to operating in a complex 24/7 environment. The business have their own data centers and are currently building more so the ideal candidate should have experience working on larger scale and complex projects.

Requirements:

  • You must be proficient and have real world and hands-on experience with the following technologies: Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Load balancing, Monitoring, Firewalls, Networks, Network security protocols, databases and more;
  • You should have experience in a production, Linux-based environment
  • Confidence in supporting open source software
  • Experience with system configuration and administration, core operating systems expertise, including network setup and maintenance, network security and file systems
  • In depth understanding of load balancing, horizontal scaling, UNIX-related network services, TCP/IP networking, DNS and HTTP(s), network security
  • You are able to both take on and give feedback, handle pressure well and possess strong communication skills
  • You have the skills to automate in order to avoid repetitive tasks
  • Fluency in English
