Here in Berlin, we are working with an established B2B IoT product – that specialises in Electric Car Charging ports.

They develop software and electronics for charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Their main values & ethos is that eMobility promotes a sustainable future and better quality of life.

To sum it up, they are a supplier of software and electronics for Linux-based charge controllers. It is used in charging stations of some wellknown manufacturers but they also have developed their own charging station which can be mounted on streetlights.

What to expect:

  • Teams: Hardware & Software. 16 Engineers in total, 12 in Berlin
  • Main task is to develop the product.
  • Problems being brought in to solve: Legacy code, read through code, structure it in a more sensible way, make it more module, reliable & maintainable. Also, to raise the seniority of the team. Mentorship possible but not an immediate requirement of the role
  • Always building new features, but maintenance is a small part. 
  • Engineering practices: code reviews, write unit tests, agile with continuous integration, pair programming, knowledge sharing sessions

Requirements:

  • C++ & Embedded Linux experience
