OQ are working with an Amsterdam-based scaleup building out one of the most popular online marketplaces in the Netherlands. They have had great success in recent years, migrating two other European competitors to their platform. Their platform is naturally data-intensive, so they are now looking to add another data engineer to their already-established analytics team.

What to expect:

You will be working in close collaboration with experienced data engineers, POs and data scientists to control the end-to-end data life cycle, working on both the improvement and development of the data pipeline along with other analytics projects across the business. You are responsible for delivering reliable data for the entire business. Working with a modern, cloud-based data stack in an environment with a strong engineering culture.

Requirements:

  • The technical approach here is largely agnostic and solutions focussed. However, you are used to working with SQL, data infrastructure on AWS, Redshift and Dimensional Modelling
  • Strong coding skills - Python is preferable
  • Culture fit is key here. Most importantly you are a strong communicator, a keen learner and a team player.
  • Pluses: Experience with Data Modelling (e.g. Kimball), CI/CD for pipeline automation, Stitch and Looker
