OQ are working with an Amsterdam-based startup building out an entirely web-based medical device to increase the accessibility of clear vision. Pertinent in these times, right? They have had great success in recent years, partnering with and onboarding household names and scaling their product. Their platform is naturally data-intensive, so they are now looking to add a Machine Learning Engineer to their tech team.

What to expect:

Building clean, medical-grade software for a steadily growing user base with a solid and experienced team of software engineers and data scientists. You control the end-to-end data life cycle, working on both the improvement and development of the ML pipeline along with other analytics projects across the business. You are responsible for delivering reliable data for the entire business. Working with a modern, AWS-based data stack in an environment with a strong engineering culture.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Python, with an understanding of libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras and OpenCV expected.
  • The technical approach here is largely agnostic and solutions focussed. Computer Vision is a plus, as is knowledge of SQL and AWS.
  • Good product mindset and understanding of UX - if this is in telehealth, well darn then you got the job.
  • Culture fit is key here. Most importantly you are a strong communicator, a keen learner and a team player - if you can show a well-populated github too then that’s a plus!
