This pillar of European financial institutions, the Netherlands’ largest bank, are hiring in their central data team. Currently in the middle of rapidly transitioning to a modern data architecture, this crack team of data experts are accelerating the bank’s move to the cloud, advanced data science solutions and data-driven decision making.

What to expect:

You will have a wide-ranging engineering role covering aspects of data architecture; setting up raw data lakes, integrated data stores and advanced analytics platforms; designing data streaming solutions and creating internal APIs. This centralised team has huge impact, working with data from all eight million of the bank’s customers and creating scalable Azure solutions. This is a good opportunity for an engineer keen to influence and learn from a strong team, with the freedom to build data solutions how you see fit.

Requirements:

  • Thorough and strong experience in designing and building data solutions on Azure.
  • Experience in a range of data and infrastructure tools including (a mixture is acceptable) Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra/MongoDB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, JSON, Git.
  • Ability to contribute to data architecture, designing innovative enterprise solutions.
  • Good communication skills to interact with the rest of the organisation, from business lines to other development teams. Coaching experience is a plus.
