One of the Netherlands’ best known energy institutions is hiring within their New Energy team in The Hague. They’re 18-strong and work on bringing data science ideas from creation into POC stage and then production.

What to expect:

You’ll be working closely with business stakeholders and on productionising data science models. You operate on a senior level in terms of responsibilities, dealing with stakeholders and helping others grow in the company on top of your technical responsibilities. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects within text recognition, reducing facility waste, predictive maintenance and optimising business processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Python and/or R, with SQL also a plus
  • Experience with machine learning and data modelling
  • Experience in software engineering is a plus, particularly in taking data science POCs to production level that can deliver value
  • Data visualisation skills. Currently they use PowerBI and Spotfire but you can use other tools
  • Ability to upskill colleagues through mentoring and code reviews
  • Ability to work a minimum four day a week until the end of 2020
  • Fluency in English is required
