Orange Quarter is currently working with one of Amsterdam’s fastest growing and most innovative fintech scaleups. They are looking for a talented and experienced QA Automation Engineer to come in and build, maintain and extend their test automation coverage across their range of serverless, cloud-native apps. This role is focussed purely on API based development and testing. You’ll be working alongside an extremely talented group of Developers, Product Owners and DevOps Engineers to implement test strategy, test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration. These are business critical projects that will be directly affecting the company’s performance.

What to expect:

While this role is focussed on test automation, you will have broad responsibilities. Your focus will be to rebuild the company’s legacy testing system using Python and modern automation frameworks. Naturally part of your role will be to maintain the legacy system while you rebuild it. You’ll be working with developers to build a proper QA culture, working on CI/CD pipelines and picking up some DevOps tasks. You will be working on business-critical applications that underpin billions of euros in assets. Your day-to-day will be committing to impeccable quality with a very low margin for error. There will also be room for growth and undertaking cloud tech certifications.

Requirements:

  • You love solving complex test automation problems with simple, creative solutions
  • You are very competent testing APIs and web services
  • Experience with/willingness to learn cloud technologies
  • Impeccable programming skills in any modern language
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling
  • An understanding of microservice architectures
