About the company

We’re working with an early-stage company building security infrastructure for AI systems operating in high-stakes, real-world environments such as finance, healthcare, and government. As autonomous systems move into production, existing security tools are struggling to keep up. This team is developing a new control layer that understands how AI agents behave in practice, detects subtle failures, and protects critical workflows without slowing them down.

The company is operating at the frontier of AI deployment, defining how intelligent systems can be trusted in environments where mistakes have real consequences. Rather than building another monitoring product, the focus is on deep, infrastructure-level technology that enables safe, scalable autonomy.

About the role

This is a founding-level engineering role as one of the earliest technical hires. You’ll work closely with the founding team to design and build the core platform from the ground up, owning everything from system architecture and backend services through to tooling and deployment pipelines.

You’ll play a central role in shaping both the technical direction and the product vision, helping define what modern AI security should look like. With full autonomy over your domain, you’ll set standards, make key architectural decisions, and establish the engineering culture as the company scales.

The role requires comfort with ambiguity and a strong bias toward shipping, iterating, and learning from real-world usage. You’ll be building production-grade systems in Python and modern frameworks, contributing across backend, infrastructure, and, where needed, frontend.

Beyond technical delivery, you’ll act as a strategic partner to the founding team, bringing insight into product direction, customer needs, and long-term platform design. This is a hands-on role for someone excited by ownership, responsibility, and building foundational technology in a high-impact space.
