Orange Quarter are partnered with one of the world’s most exciting B2B software businesses to help them hire a Senior Data Engineer. Founded in the USA, this business has become a global powerhouse in their space, working with 25,000 household consumer brands. You will join an AI and Machine Learning business unit, focussed on building customer facing pricing products related to pricing.

The company hires fully remote, so you can work from wherever you like as long as you retain German residency.

What to expect:

You’ll work in their Data Platform team, on topics areas like customer facing data streaming pipelines, batch processing, data tooling and more. This product is used by huge enterprise businesses to develop pricing strategies and as such, reliability and scalability are huge concerns. This is far from a data engineering role related to internal facing reporting use cases. We are looking for a strong Senior with a capacity for mentorship, who could potentially move up into a Lead/Head of role within the short-mid term.

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years working as a Data Engineer and strong Software Engineering skillset

  • Professional experience with streaming technologies would be very helpful
  • You are aligned (mostly) with the following stack - Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Python, SQL
  • Soft skills will be highly important in this role too, we're looking for a great communicator and someone with demonstrable ownership qualities
