Senior Golang Engineer

Senior Golang Engineer

Amsterdam, permanent

Orange Quarter are working with a leader in the sustainability industry that helps businesses transition to a sustainable, carbon-free future. Typically, you’d see their clients on the FTSE500, but as sustainability has moved into forefront of public discourse, they’re building a new platform for SMEs to make the transition too.

As such, we’re on the hunt for an experienced Golang Engineer to join the remote team on this greenfield project.

Industry:

OQ-industries Sustainability

What to expect:

Expect to join a small team of experienced engineers on a ‘from scratch’ project. You’ll be hands-on with the design, architecture and implementation of a microservice backend for a new web app. A ‘start-up mentality’ is a prerequisite since your impact will grow wider than “just” backend; for instance, diving into the frontend every now and then.

The organizational culture is what you’d expect from a ‘unicorn’ tech scale-up: engineering-driven, low levels of bureaucracy and the freedom to take an idea and run with it.

You’ll work remotely in an experienced team, although there is a base in Amsterdam if going into the office is your thing (Friday drinks seem to be quite popular!)

Perks:

  • Remote friendly (with an office in Amsterdam).
  • Stability and a greenfield project.
  • Great salary and perks.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Golang.
  • Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines etc.
  • Motivated to work on a greenfield project.
  • Interest in sustainability/tackling climate change.
  • Resident in the Netherlands.

Sounds good?
