Orange Quarter are looking for a Tech Lead Data Engineer to join one of Berlin’s best known AI scaleups, working in the green energy and PropTech spaces. They provide a digital platform to the world’s biggest companies to manage their building portfolios.

What to expect:

You will be the technical lead of their entire data engineering team, reporting directly to the VP of Data. The product is an enterprise real time analytics platform that enables companies to manage their real estate portfolios, so it involves complex client integrations and its a client facing data product, and your day to day will involve working with very messy data sources and huge volumes of data. You’ll be a thought leader in the business around data engineering, databases, data platform engineering and more. You’ll be the bridge between the data team and the wider business.

Requirements:

  • You have a track records as a Senior, Lead, Staff or Principal Data Engineer
  • You have an expert understanding of databases, ideally Postgres or Clickhouse
  • You have vast experience of cloud based data tooling, they use Azure but you can come from any cloud environment
  • You're excited by data streaming technologies, we use Flink, Spark, Kafka etc.
