BI Analyst

BI Analyst

Berlin, Amsterdam or Remote, Permanent

This company have built a platform for managing construction projects and the sub-contractors involved at all stages. You’ll be joining them as a BI Analyst (title discussible), and as their first specialist hire in BI and Analytics. At the moment it’s SaaS, but they want to turn this into a marketplace where people don’t just manage their projects but also shop for contractors where the product will be used simultaneously. They recently received their Seed of 5M and they are closing Series A later this year. Even as a b2b company, they are serving around 1000 customers per day.

What to expect:

As the first hire in BI and Analytics, you will take full ownership and responsibility over BI within the company. You’ll be responsible for researching and architecting BI tooling and date warehousing solutions, and then working with their current software engineers to implement the BI infrastructure needed to set the company up for success in analytics. You won’t be expected to work on data engineering topics yourself, but to oversee the implementation. That said, any value you can add where BI development and infrastructure is concerned will be seen as a big bonus. You will immediately be tasked with working with stakeholders across the business to define KPIs and key metrics, work on automated reporting solutions, write complex scripts for analysis and drive data analytics strategy across the business.

  • Full and complete freedom to implement your vision for BI and Analytics
  • Remote-first policy and a lot of flexibility on hours
  • Completely greenfield
  • Competitive salary and future prospects of ESOP/Stocks
  • Work in a small, family feeling team of high achieving professionals

  • 3+ Years of experience in BI & Analytics, ideally within a startup environment
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres and reporting tools like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ideally some experience with Python, R and some experience with ETL pipelines (not mandatory)
  • An understanding of Data Warehousing technologies like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake etc.
  • You can take full ownership of BI and Analytics, with no hand-holding
