Orange Quarter is partnered with a startup out of Oxford University to revolutionize how we source for materials used in our everyday electronics, from Tesla cars to Apple devices. The platform serves as a material simulation tool that allows scientists to predict new materials given specific market niches. The ultimate goal is to be able to generate the IP for these materials and replace these with the current materials sourced through destructive measures, including deep sea mining. The team is currently based out of Shoreditch and works from the office 2-3 days a week.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proficient in Node, Python, and AWS with some exposure to Frontend components as well. The focus of the role will be on scaling the infrastructure and due to the nature of the product, anyone with a background in Data, Machine Learning or MLOps is encouraged to apply!
For the current needs of the team, the role will largely be focused on individual contributor work and building out the product roadmap along with the CTO. The long-term vision for the role is for someone with managerial aspirations to build out the rest of the engineering team.
