We’ve partnered up with one of the world’s biggest online marketplaces to hire a Senior Data Engineer in Berlin. You’ll join a brand new team that’s building the company’s next generation Data platform. This platform will underpin the company’s global B2B  product, to enable them to track, manage and get the best out of their relationship with the Marketplace.

What to expect:

In this role you’ll work on brand new data architectures and tooling, experimenting and implementing new solutions with your colleagues. A lot of the stack is undefined at this point, so there will be a lot of space for decision making as a Senior. This is a complex setting where your platform will aggregate huge amounts of customer data from a diverse range of sources, while succinctly integrating with legacy systems. This is a business critical platform and you will be a part of a small but highly performing team of Senior and Staff level Data Engineers.

Requirements:

  • 4+ Years in Data Engineering specifically
  • Comfortable with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Flink etc.)
  • Working on cloud based (AWS, GCP, Azure) Data Platforms is second nature to you
  • Very strong in either Java, Scala or Python and SQL
