Orange Quarter is working with an impactful startup that uses AI as a way of mitigating the effects of climate change by monitoring vegetation in order to prevent wildfires and power outages while enabling sophisticated infrastructures and a healthier community. You would have the chance to work on valuable environmental projects, handling a range of data from satellite images, maps, and remote sensors.

What to expect:

The bar is extremely high for this start-up, with responsibilities ranging from running satellite images through a model, writing Python code to process and analyze GIS data, and working with mature models and pipelines, whilst developing, improving, and validating the ones in earlier stage development. Leadership qualities are fundamental, with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring the junior data scientists on your team.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in working with Remote Sensing or Satellite Imagery
  • Background in GIS data sets and systems
  • Coding skills in Python and SQL

  • 4+ years in a Data Science role
