We are working with a Japanese-founded business who have offices here in Barcelona. With a current headcount of 75 people, their Engineering department is split into 7 teams that consists of QA, Backend, Embedded, AI & Research and Product. In recent years they were acquired by Sony and are currently on a mission to help them become the leader in next-generation AI services. Think everything edge computing.

What to expect:

You will lead a team of 8 DevOps Engineers for the Platform team. The Platform Team is a cross-functional team that enables developers to manage the life cycle of applications, from source code management and testing, to continuous deployment.  A lot of the work is centralised around computer vision & image capturing, where embedded systems have AI capabilities. The goal is to reduce latency and eliminate GDPR breaches.

Requirements:

  • Leadership skills, a proven track record of leading by example and making the teams and people around you better
  • Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Container and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation)
