We are representing a start-up with 35 people & 6m of funding to build out their Embedded Development team. They specialise in the development of hardware & software for keyless entry technology, targeting big storage buildings, offices, coffee shops etc.. to make them more secure & digitalise their companies. Super smart stuff in IoT. They have an office here in Berlin, but the role can be fully remote, offering great flexibility.

What to expect:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for IoT devices using microcontrollers such as ESP32
  • Implement wireless communication protocols including Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi and others to enable communication between IoT devices
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites in Python to ensure firmware quality and performance
  • Design and implement communication protocols for IoT devices within a network to facilitate communication between them
  • Work with hardware engineer to ensure that firmware is optimized for the specific hardware being used
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to integrate IoT devices with fleet management systems, and ensure data is transferred securely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • You have advanced knowledge in Software Development with Python (Micropython)
  • You have advanced knowledge and experience working with mesh networks (e.g. Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth and others)
  • You have experience in working with Microcontrollers (e.g. nRF52, ESP32)
  • You are comfortable using Linux
