They have a platform that is used by thousands of people world wide to learn a range of languages, skills and educational topics. They’re experiencing a rapid growth phase currently and as part of this are expanding  Machine Learning and Data Science team.

What to expect:

As a marketplace application, your team work heavily on Search and Ranking algorithms as the core areas. Outside of this, your team is responsible for end-to-end ML solutions from start to finish, extending and working on ML ops infrastructure is within this team’s remit. The role is partially ‘hands-on’ at first as the team is small right now, but expect to hire and scale the team up over the next couple of years. You will also get the chance to extend the team’s focus areas into new ML use cases.

Requirements:

  • Strong track record leading Data Science or Machine Learning teams

  • A strong business and product mindset is an absolute must, this is not a research oriented team
