We are working with one of Germany’s leading real time grid monitoring products manufacturers. They provide a serious solution for Germany’s energy lifecycle. They have over 30 million data points daily. The aim is to prepare their systems for 1 billion data points per day. 

Currently they are in the early stages of migrating to Azure and are seeking a Platform Engineer to build their internal developer platform. The role involves managing network infrastructure to ensure high-performance connectivity, as well as administering Azure tenants with a focus on security and system optimization. This is a role for a Platform/DevOps Engineer who wants greater scope and agency over their work. (English and German Speaking)

What to expect:

  • Introduce an internal developer platform to streamline the development lifecycle and establish a scalable foundation for growth.
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Kubernetes cluster deployment and management, including scaling and resource optimization.
  • Administer Azure tenants, including identity and access management resource provisioning, and cost optimization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Helm Terraform, and Argo to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in building and managing internal developer platforms with expertise in network configuration, Kubernetes, and Azure
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in platform engineering or related roles, with a focus on Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud environments
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Helm, Terraform, Argo), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
