Orange Quarter has partnered with an exciting start-up that is building a digital hub in the heart of Amsterdam. This company is revolutionizing the travel industry and has created an exciting application that streamlines the whole traveling experience. They have already experienced an exciting round of growth and are looking to expand into the Middle East and the US over the next couple of years; needing the help of a Senior Platform Engineer to ensure the infrastructure is scalable.

What to expect:

They have built out the initial infrastructure in this environment using GCP and are now considering whether to move into a multi-cloud environment due to the variety of their clients. You would be responsible for helping decide the technical direction of the company and will have complete ownership of the infrastructure; including helping to build out the Platform Team.

You will have a strong focus on building out the scalability of the environment, so experience working in a complex/high-load environment will put you in a good position to hit the ground running. This means you will have a split between working very closely with the Developers in the business to creating high-level Architecture,

Requirements:

  • Strong experience work with the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • A good understanding of Golang/Python to enable you to work successfully with the Developers
  • You love to automate everything
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive approach to work and excellent communication skills
