We’ve partnered up with one of the world’s biggest online marketplaces to hire a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in Berlin. You’ll be a Senior Leader in brand new team that’s building the company’s next generation Data and Machine products. These products will underpin the company’s global B2B and B2C spaces, to enable their customers to track, manage and get the best out of their relationship with the Marketplace.

What to expect:

In this role you’ll take the lead on defining machine learning architecture, tooling and the technical roadmap for the team over the next 6-12-18 months. This is a complex setting where you’ll work with global stakeholders to define requirements, develop common best practices for the business unit, and make sure the new machine learning products succinctly integrates with legacy systems. You’ll get the chance to actively mentor and grow Senior ML Engineers across multiple teams, through code reviews, trainings and feedback sessions. Its a highly impactful and diverse role, spanning ML, low-latency real-time platforms,  Supply Chain, Fraud, Payments, or NLP projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in cross-functional Machine Learning settings (4+ years)
  • You are comfortable working with a wide range of business stakeholders and turning this into technical requirements
  • Experience with productionizing complex ML models at scale
  • An understanding of both Data & ML processing pipelines, experience with implementation in low-latency real-time platforms and/or scalable offline batch processes
