We at Orange Quarter are working with an exciting company in the shipping space! They are developing a platform for the chartering industry that is revolutionising navigation within this space. Their goal is to increase efficiency and performance through integrating databases, big data and AI technologies to provide profitable solutions for different stakeholders in the shipping community.

What to expect:

  • As a Tech Lead, you will not only be leading a team but you will also be responsible for making key architectural decisions around the development of the platform as well as ensuring error-free functionality
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of the platform including architectural planning, code structure and code reviews
  • You will be tasked with continuously improving the system ensuring that all technologies and processes are modern and up to date
  • You will be creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • You will be ensuring that the technical work is well aligned with business strategy and goals

Requirements:

  • You should have at least 3 years experience with either: NodeJS, PHP, Java, React and Typescript
  • Experience with at least 1 major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Experience with database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
  • Good knowledge of Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Kafka, Grafana, and other relevant technologies
