We are working with an established company that operates in the adult content industry. Headquartered in Barcelona and founded over 10 years ago, they are operating at 75% profit and generate over €100M per year in revenue. Their business consists of 6 platforms that include things such as dating sites, escort services, and explicit content. Since the platform itself is free, they generate revenue through the advertisements that appear on the marketplace in themselves receive thousands of requests per minute. Beyond this, they have built chatbots and e2e encrypted chat platforms and crypto payment options.
Their product is live in Canada but their entire team is here in Europe, with the majority in Barcelona. Right now their tech team consists of HoE and 4 product teams. They are hiring because of growth and opening new product verticals such as Payments which was previously outsourced. The backend team is currently 4 people and the stack is PHP, Symfony and Python. They are looking for an experienced hands-on leader to take ownership and stewardship of this project.
As a Tech Lead you will be expected to go to the office a couple of times per week.
