Upskill yourself with these 5 DevOps resources

Upskill yourself with these 5 DevOps resources

Have you bookmarked these handy resources?

25 January 2022

According to data, 42% of employees have pursued training on their own during COVID. Fostering a learning culture of your own can help you become more confident and more engaged in your work. So even if your employer isn’t offering you the chance to upskill internally, you can go out and learn on your own.

Upskilling yourself can make you an even more valuable employee, or it can help you secure a brand new position elsewhere — for example if you’re currently building Linux tools and want to become a DevOps Engineer.

Whatever your reason for seeking out new DevOps resources, we’ve compiled a shortlist for you to check out.

With over two million devs using this hub, DZone is the place to be to immerse yourself in the world of DevOps. Access listicles of the best low-code/no-code platforms, bookmark checklists for carrying out efficient code reviews and more. This resource has all kinds of helpful information and guides to help both newbies and advanced devs alike.

In an article by DZone they show readers how you can monitor CPU usage with Pyroscope to identify performance bottlenecks.

There are plenty of podcasts to get your teeth into, but Bikeshed is pretty interesting. Produced by Thoughtbot, Chris Toomey & Steph Viccari discuss development challenges they’ve overcome and share real-life experiences in the hope it inspires and educates their listeners.

Podcasts are a great alternative to reading, particularly if your schedule is jam-packed — you can absorb new information on the move. Spain currently has the highest number of podcast listeners in Europe, with 30% of those surveyed listening to podcasts at least once a month.
