LichtBlick is a provider of renewable electricity and renewable gas. More than 20 years ago, LichtBlick began to campaign for renewable energies. Today, green electricity has arrived in the middle of society and LichtBlick is Germany’s largest provider of green electricity. LichtBlick also runs “SchwarmEnergie” (swarm energy), an IT platform designed to connect decentralised and renewable energy sources so that energy is generated whenever it is needed.
Initially starting off as an energy provider, LichtBlick soon started diversifying its product offering as it scaled its technology to keep up with the increasing demand for green energy solutions. Their product offering was set to diversify again, for which the LichtBlick team had to make some hires. We previously worked closely with the TA Manager at LichtBlick at her previous startup and she suggested Orange Quarter as a preferred tech agency partner.
They were hiring for Senior PHP, QA Manager, IT Risk Manager and Security each with its own set of requirements. Their niche technical roles required extensive networks, a fast-paced process, and one that adapted to their team’s needs at that time. They were looking for new team members across departments, like for instance an IT Security Officer with experience in Critical Infrastructure.
Within 3 months, we managed to define a fantastic way of working with the hiring stakeholders at LichtBlick. Having unrestricted access to hiring managers meant we could move swiftly, ensuring our feedback loops were to the point and that we worked very closely with the hiring team to deliver and negotiate offers. Thanks to a two-way street, we managed to secure all 4 hires within 3 months.
